Best Pontoon Accessories and Upgrades

Check out the best pontoon boat accessories for summer fun this year!!

1.    The Box Anchor. Don’t you just hate when you have the perfect spot in the sun to drop the anchor and it doesn’t hold? You end up continually dragging down stream.

Sometimes my husband might like leaving me swimming furiously to the boat but in the end, we need an anchor that is reliable! I mean, what about the kids! They can’t swim that fast!!

You can find many types of anchors. Anchors for sand, rocky areas, rivers and oceans. But in the end, you probably just need the box anchor.

It can hold a 40-foot boat. If you have a 40-foot pontoon, that's great! Please take me for a cruise! 😊

Get the Gen 3 Marine Box Anchor and rest your worries, you will hold. And, your wife will be happy not to keep throwing the anchor out and pulling it in when it’s not holding. My husband can attest to this! It’s a marriage saver.

2.    The Power Bimini Top - 10' Electric Power Pontoon Top and Boot (Fits 8' or 8-1/2' W Pontoons). The Power Bimini Top is a crowd pleaser. How many times do you ask your friends to help unzip the bimini and pull it into place and you then have to stop the boat to do it!

Yep, we love our power bimini. No worries trying to ensure the bimini is in place while your friends who never boat don’t know how to help.

Or, when kids and grandkids are running around like wild banchees looking to get into the snacks! Heck, we just left the dock. 😊 Your family and friends will think this is awesome.

3.    Mission Maven Pontoon Boat Fenders. Don’t be that "gomer" leaving his fenders out while you ride. These Maven fenders are sure to impress, as they effortlessly connect to pontoon rails and can be swiftly detached for storage.

Don't you wish everyone you raft up with had good fenders? Too often, we reach our meeting spot, and no one has fenders that can truly protect their boat. These are a must have item and the come in deep blue, black and burgundy.

4.    Pontoon Anchor Winch – A powered anchor winch is just what you need to reduce your time setting and pulling the anchor. The TRAC Pontoon 35 Anchor Winch is perfect for pontoon boats and ensures smooth and reliable operation. This winch features a power up/down switch, anti-reverse clutch and includes 100 feet of anchor rope and circuit breaker for easy installation.

5. 3-Step Removable Ladder - The 3-Step Removable Telescoping Pontoon Ladder by JIF is easy to install. It uses EHD flush mounts and strong stainless steel tubing.

We recommend buying an extra set of flush mounts. This way, you can easily move the ladder to different spots based on how the current is drifting.

The ladder is 40”H x 16”W with a step height of 10”. It weighs 11 pounds and UV resistant with plastic steps has a 400 lb. capacity. So, when the kids are fighting on who gets to come out first, this ladder can handle them with ease!

6.    Inflatable Pup Plank Let’s not forget about man’s best friend!  Elevate your furry friend's water fun with the Solstice Inflatable Pup Plank. This dog ramp attaches to your boat, dock, or pool for a safe and convenient exit.

Its integrated weighted mesh and built-in steps make it easy for your dog to enter the water. The pup plank comes with hand pump, sling-style carry bag, two 8’ rope lines and a repair kit. The mini holds up to 30 pounds with the XL capable of holding a 120 pound pup.

7.     Floating Pontoon Trailer Guide-Ons – Pontoon trailer guides are another marriage saver in my opinion.  Countless times my husband would back the boat in and have all sorts of hand signals for left, right, No just a little to the left – ha ha!

The Pontoon Trailer Guide-Ons finally got my husband to stop being the side-line coach! Now I only hear, “good job”. Which is much better than the previous commentary. 😊

8.    Pontoon & Aluminum Boat Cleaner – Its easy to keep your pontoon looking clean and new with Toon-Brite Pontoon cleaner. Its special ingredients work quickly to remove oxidation, lime deposits and waterline stains from aluminum boat surfaces.

Toon-Brite pontoon cleaner is a biodegradable product that won't harm the marine environment. It cleans and brightens without damaging other surfaces such as trailers or decals. Dilute for up to 2 gallons of cleaning solution. Convenient 3-finger spray applicator included.

9.     Gail Force Saddle Float - The Gail Force Extra Thick Saddle Float is a dream come true when out on the water or in your pool. It's a hands-free flotation device, eliminating the need to wear your life jacket like a diaper!

Throughout the years, we have tried different floats with friends and family, but Gail Force Saddle Floats have made one that everyone can use. My friends and kids who are 5 feet and under always seemed to have trouble with hands-free floating. But now they can successfully float for hours.

Carabiner clip allows you to clip it to The Float Rope when climbing into the boat so it won’t float away. Don't worry, as these saddle floats are vinyl coated foam for mildew resistance.

10. LED Strip Light KitIlluminate your pontoon with TH Marine's Blue LED Flat Flexible Ribbon Strip Light Kit. We had so many complements on our pontoon when it was lit up at dusk.

We actually made some new friends by boaters stopping us to asks where we got our lights. They then would spot find us easily once they new our colors!

This LED Strip Light Kit is waterproof and can be fully submerged. These easy-to-install lights will add style to your boat. They also offer protection with a silicone tube filled with gel.
